Dipjon accompanies most of our treks as trekking porter. He enjoys this work since it offers him the opportunity to be out in nature, discover all corners of Nepal, and earn a good income. Kind, peaceful, and calm, he is an excellent fit for accompanying our groups. His good natured smile allows him to gracefully be part of conversations even when they are in English, which he is still learning.
Dipjon comes from Nepal’s Rolpa district, where he spent most of his early life in his village, as a farmer and shepherd. In search of opportunities to earn a better income for his family, he moved to Pokhara, where he worked in construction for some time, for example by carrying sand and helping to build houses, and as a taxi driver. Since 2015, he has been working as a trekking porter.
Apart from listening to music, Dipjon enjoys keeping up to date with everything about Nepali politics, sports and general news.
