Overview
This fantastic trek combines the splendour of two classic Himalayan trails into a 10- or 11-day journey. While the Poon Hill portion of this Yoga Trek is popular among our guests for its panoramic views and the magical sunrise on Poon Hill, the Annapurna Base Camp portion offers one of the best close encounters with the Himalayas, with dramatic, breathtaking views you will never forget. The 11-day trek includes an afternoon, evening and overnight at the charming and peaceful Little Paradise teahouse, beautifully located on a ridge between two mountains, between the Poon Hill and Annapurna Basecamp portions of the trek. This allows the group to rest and practice yoga and meditation in stunning, serene surroundings before embarking onto the next portion of the trek. The 10-day trek skips this, going straight from Tadapani to Chhomrong.

Description
We start this journey on the picturesque Poon Hill trail, which takes us past terraced slopes, paddy fields, and through rhododendron forests, thickly covered in moss. Rhododendron trees can be seen blooming in spring, around March-April.
The authentic villages we experience along the trek, including the traditional Gurung village of Ghandruk, provide a taste of the culture and lifestyle of ethnic people like Gurungs and Magars.
The destination and highest point of the first portion of this trek is Poon Hill (3,210m), which we climb before sunrise to experience spectacular panoramic views of the snow capped mountains of the Himalayas. This viewpoint truly is a photographer’s paradise, and weather permitting, the mountains we see include Annapurna South, Annapurna I, II, III, and IV, Dhaulagiri, Lamjung Himal, Gangapurna, and Manaslu.
We end the first portion of the trek at the charming and peaceful Little Paradise teahouse, beautifully located on a ridge between two mountains.
From here, we continue onward to Annapurna Base Camp (also known as Annapurna Sanctuary or ABC trek) is famous for its stunning landscape. At the beginning, our trail is still lined with lush rhododendron forests, as we make our way up a spectactular valley lined by cliffs and cascading waterfalls. At the top of the valley, just at the entrance to Machhapuchhre Base Camp, we witness the birth of river Modi – melting out of glaciers on the side of the mountain slopes. At each turn, a new, closer view of the great Himalayan mountain ranges is visible, until we finally reach the Annapurna Basecamp, an awe-inspiring 360-degree panoramic viewpoint around which the main peaks of the western Annapurna massive (including Hiunchuli, Annapurna South, Gangapurna & Machhapuchhre) are arranged almost precisely in a circle of 10 miles in diameter. Across a deep glacier gorge at the center, you can see the spectacularly beautiful giant – Annapurna I (8091m). This is one of the best close encounters with the Himalayas within a short period of time with dramatic, breathtaking views you will never forget.
