Description

This classic trek around the Annapurna, the world’s tenth-highest mountain and one of the most famous Himalayan giants, is one of the most diverse in terms of landscapes, altitude, and cultures: trekking through the three different regions of Lamjung, Manang and Mustang, you will experience a variety of cultures and all types of scenery Nepal has to offer. Altitudes on this trek vary between 800m at the beginning of the trek to 5,416m at Thorung La, one of the highest passes in the world, originally used by locals as a trade route, and a formidable challenge for any trekker. Thorung La offers spectacular views of the Annapurna range and smaller ranges northwards into Tibet. This trek also includes the holy village of Muktinath and old Buddhist monasteries in Kagbeni, Marpha and Jharkot. The journey ends in Jomsom, from where we fly back to Pokhara.

Amazing trekking from Poon Hill to ABCNow I have had another amazing trekking with Kamala Yoga Nepal. Based on my wishes, Karnesh put together a trekking that became beyond my expectation, completely magical. In glorious October weather, we did an 11-day trekking from Poon Hill to ABC which will be one of my best memories forever. Every morning I woke up to a Tibetan singing bowl, got warm ginger water and then yoga in fantastic outdoor environments. The hike began in the beautiful Nepalese jungle, then turned into forest and ended in a harsh and incredibly beautiful landscape in ABC, which is absolutely magical and must be experienced. Every day after the walk we did a much needed streching and the meditation in the evening gave a nice balance of body and soul. Karnesh and the porter Diva's joy, positive energy and caring are genuine and makes the mood to be at the top all the time. Their knowledge, experience and commitment make you feel safe all the time and I can therefore enjoy the trekking to the maximum. They really want the trekking to be something extra special for you and they succeed to the fullest. Already I am looking forward to my third hike with Kamala Yoga Nepal, so thank you for this incredible lifetime experience and for sharing with you some of your joy of life that I will always remember. I am so grateful for this experience. Namaste'

Amazing! My boyfriend and I had the chance to be part of the great yoga session with Virna! We did the Hatha Flow and also Vinyasa Yoga lessons and it‘s really a work IN not just a work OUT like she said. (Even if we sweat pretty hard😂) We would have loved to stay longer and enjoy more! We highly recommend you to go there whenever you are in Pokhara 🙏🏽 this yoga really changes you in a good way!

I just attended Virnas Yoga Class in Pokhara a few days ago. It was so so wonderful! I felt so good and empowered after this lesson that I really regret that I have found her and the yoga studio KamalYogaNepal just one day before my last day in Pokhara. I would have loved to come there every morning. I especially liked the singing bowls during shavasana 🥰 they also do a singing bowl meditation every afternoon on a donation basis which I can totally recommend aswell! I went there with my mom and we both loved it! ❤️ Thanks for the great yoga lesson and the wonderful singing bowls Virna ❤️🙏

Kamala Yoga Nepal is THE place to go for yoga and singing bowl meditation in Pokhara. They know what they are doing. I am practicing yoga for a couple of years now and I was very happy with their way of practicing it. I also experienced the singing bowl meditation / sound immersion with them for the first time and they shifted me to another world, just as their very engaging chanting session. Last but not least, I was so privileged to enjoy tea on their terrace, where you have a stunning view over the lake and mountains. The studio itself is stunning. Most importanrly, it is very clean and bright, has AC, great equipment and an amazing view.I highly recommend them, because they are not only professional but spending time with them is very delightful. I will be back!💜

We did the 5 day Poon Hill Yoga Trek with Sailes and Sudip in April 2019 and we cannot recommend Kamala Yoga and the team enough. If you want to be immersed in nature and to connect spiritually, you will not be disappointed. This trekking route itself is easily accomplishable by beginners - only two of the five days are full days of walking, the other three are very chilled with plenty of time for music, meditation, art and yoga. The scenery was absolutely breathtaking, we particularly enjoyed hiking through the rhododendron forests and the sunrise view of the fishtail from the top of Poon Hill was well worth the 4am wake up. Although basic, we enjoyed the tea house experience. You should expect very simple living with a lovely community feel. Top tip - don’t forget a sleeping bag liner or toilet roll. Karnesh the founder of Kamala Yoga was extremely helpful when we were planning our trip and he made us feel very welcome both at the studio and in Pokhara where the trip starts and ends. The highlight of the week for us were our tremendous guides Sailes and Sudip. Their experience, knowledge and teachings of meditation and Hatha Yoga exceeded our expectations and we feel inspired to develop our own practises when we get home. Sailes brings a special energy and creativity to every element of the trek. He is an artist, musician, free spirit and has a kind and generous soul. Sailes really encouraged us to let go, to feel free and to feel connected to our surroundings and we miss laughing with him already. Sudip is such a helpful and professional guide. His knowledge of the routes and eagerness to share spiritual philosophies was really appreciated. We really recommend both guides. Finally, a huge shout out to the quiet but smiley Divas, our amazing porter, for carrying our bags - it wouldn’t have been the same without him. Katie and Connie from London, UK

Early December I did the Poonhill yoga trek with Kamala Yoga. Communication about the trek was very complete and transparent. I was guided by two great persons, got professional and open minded yoga instruction, good food and a great hike. A very nice way to intensify a beautiful Himalaya experience!

I just came back from the 5-day Poon Hill trek with Kamala Yoga Nepal, and it was an absolute delight! I was alone and I was glad they would still organize the trek, even just for me. In the end, I wasn’t disappointed at all since it was one of the best experiences of my life. We had beautiful weather, the cold was completely manageable even for the end of November, sceneries were amazing and as an animal lover the best part was all the animal friends - especially dogs! - that I made on the way! Sudip was my yoga teacher/trekking guide, he’s talking perfect english and it’s a pleasure to take yoga, meditation or relaxation classes with him because he explains really well and makes it easy to follow. He’s a kind-hearted guy who knows how to read people and was always very patient with me, especially when I was sick of climbing all the stairs (aha), it was still a challenge but I made it eventually and felt so proud of myself! Waking up with yoga session was helping a lot, as well as doing stretching exercises during the day. Now my body doesn’t feel any pain but I can still feel it’s been working out :) I never felt that strong and energetic in my entire life, and I was sad the trek was over, I could have definitely continued for a few more days! I would recommend it 100%, if only for doing yoga with a view on the Annapurnas.. breathtaking! I didn’t have to worry for one second about the accommodations, it was always clean, comfortable and I even had a few hot showers!!! Same for the food, Poon Hill trek being rather touristic they’ll always have a lot of western food (but local as well, like the famous dal bhat), and I was eating so well! Also, to experience this yoga trek to its best, it’s better to be vegetarian and if possible to avoid smoking or drinking.. it can seem a bit restrictive and anyone is still free to do whatever they want but I swear it’s the best to immerge yourself completely in the spirituality of this journey! I’m very thankful for having Sudip by my side for good conversation, but also Divash (don’t know if it’s the right spelling, sorry), the porter, who wasn’t speaking english a lot but was always very helpful and you could just tell he’s good at heart as well. With these two I really felt like a princess all week, they were treating me so well! Great atmosphere and positive energy all along :) I’m feeling truly blessed for this experience, no words are strong enough, this will be a life-lasting memory! Thank you so much! Sending good vibes to all the team! Namaste! xxx

One year ago, my friend and I had decided to go to Nepal, we wanted to do a trek but also wanted to combine hiking with yoga and searching which options we had, we found Kamala Yoga Nepal. We contacted them and quickly we received an answer from Karnesh. Without thinking it so much, we decided to book the Poon Hill Trek and it was the best decision we made. We had a great time with Karnesh and his team, they are amazing people, they help us with all our doubts. We had the most amazing time with them, our trip would not have begun the same. Thank you so much Namaste

We just came back from a wonderful week with Kamala yoga Nepal. We did the Panchasse Trek and it has been an unforgettable week with energizing outdoor yoga in the mornings and a new trekking experience every day. The trekking team has taken care of us in a very good way and guided our walk along green hills, through the jungle and whole way up to the Pancasse peak. If you are looking for an extraordinary experience with combined yoga and trekking in a dazzling landscape, I can strongly recommend the professional Kamala Yoga team. /Therese Näs Tärnblom, Sweden

I went on the Poon Hill Trek on the 21st May 2018. I did the five day trek and since then I have been recommending it to everyone and anyone who will listen. It was one of the major highlights of my trip (I had been in Nepal for a month) and I am already planning to come back to do ABC and hopefully one of Karnesh's yoga retreats.I went alone which I was apprehensive about before I got there and secretly hoped that there would be others who had signed up in the interim BUT I didn't need to be because Karnesh was so attentive and approachable and has so much positive energy! It just put me at ease. If you are alone and thinking about going on trek I would highly recommend Kamala Yoga Nepal. We met many wonderful people along the way, some who joined us for a day, a swim, a song, and others for a few days (his energy is infectious!) I would never have got to have such a magical experience if I didn't just go for it! The views are just exquisite, I have never experienced anything like it and the yoga and meditation just allowed me to truly tune into the energy that resides there. You can't beat doing Surya Namaskar (sun salutations) to the Himalaya. Nothing will ever compare. Karnesh is a wonderful teacher and caters to all abilities, good adapting postures if injuries or when it's your first class and are finding it a bit too strenuous. The last point I would like to make is that with Kamala Yoga Nepal you do not need to worry about paying for food and accommodation on the way, which I personally loved because it meant I could fully relax while on the trip and immerse myself in the beauty of it all. Sending Love and Light to Karnesh and the Kamala Yoga Nepal Team 🌻✨

I just completed a 6 day Poon Hill yoga trek with Kamala yoga Nepal. It was a fantastic experience!! I loved doing yoga daily in beautiful settings and really felt that I learned and developed during the journey. There are no words that can truly describe how happy we are to have chosen Kamala Yoga Nepal for our trekking experience. We have done a 5 days trek to Poonhill, from the very start with the briefing the day before, Karnesh showed us how very professional, friendly, efficient and worthy the experience was going to be. We set off and from the start the trek proved to be very well organised, the pace accommodated to us, Divash being also a big support as he carried our daily staff. The Guest Houses cannot be any better, welcoming, friendly and charming. The stretch at the end of each trekking session was soul healing as well as fantastic on the muscles. The itinerary is breathtaking. All in all we highly recommend Kamala Yoga Trekking to everybody and everyone. We hope we will have another chance in the future to enjoy another experience with Karnesh and his company on Nepali soil. Namaste!!

Amazing experience! Lovely trek, well organised, excellent guide! We did the Panchassee Trek, which was very beautifull & not that many tourists. The scenery was beautiful and very diverse. To start every morning with yoga, gave the trek a good flow and was good for the muscles. Would definitely recommand this!!

Early wake up with tibetan bells, a cup of ginger tea and stunning views. Yoga every day with a different scenery. Yoga that helps you not to feel the pain after the walks, even after the hardest ones. Breakfast with extra healthy and good things added from the magic bags of our guide and porter. Let's go, ready for a new fantastic day, for new and unexpected landscapes, villages and smiles, for a new guest house waiting for us at the end of the walk, for a fire and a guitar to warm up both bones and souls. With Kamala Yoga Nepal nothing is left to chance: every place has surely been chosen for a reason and all the needs of the guest are taken into consideration, from food issues to health problems. Moreover, yoga was something new for me and thanks to the small dimension of the group and to the patience of Karnesh I could enjoy the classes feeling comfrotable. So, in all its aspects the Poon Hill trek was a fantastic experience that I definitely recommend and I will always remember my 30th birthday as one of the best in my whole life! Thank you and namaste :)

If you dream of an unbelievable trekking with an excellent service you can contact without hesitation Kamala Yoga Nepal. I fully recommend this reliable agency. I really enjoyed Mardi Himal trekking in the Anapurna area in March 2017. Practicing yoga when trekking helps to have a better physical condition and a better physical recovery after efforts.
